2040 Partners for Health Hires New Executive Director

Community-Based Healthcare Nonprofit Hires New Executive Director

2040 Partners for Health (2040) has hired Janet Meredith as Executive Director to lead its collaborative approach to improving the health of northeast Denver's neighborhoods.  2040 is a Community Based Participatory Research organization that works with healthcare organizations, community members, the Stapleton Foundation, and the University of Colorado to advance the health of communities, with a primary emphasis on East Montclair, Northeast Park Hill, Greater Park Hill, Northwest Aurora, and the Stapleton neighborhoods.

Community-Based Participatory Research (CPBR) is an innovative approach to healthcare, as it is designed to create a partnership between the community and researchers throughout the research process to address the residents' health concerns. "2040 Partners for Health has already had a significant impact in engaging community members and partner organizations," Board Chairman Larry Green said. "Now, as we use research collected in the past few years to inform and develop new health services and programs, we felt it was important to carefully select an Executive Director who can lead and create new opportunities for our organization."

Janet Meredith brings a background in non-profit management, research, marketing, and development, as well as extensive experience working in the Denver metro region. She spent ten years with the Denver Art Museum as a senior executive responsible for audience development, marketing, communications and community engagement during its successful bond initiative and expansion. Ms Meredith's experience includes three years as an independent consultant on local, national, and international projects working with communities, civic organizations, associations and non-profits.

2040 Partners for Health was formed as a nonprofit organization in 2007 and has been funded by the Colorado Health Foundation, the University of Colorado, Area Health Education Center (AHEC), the National Institutes for Health, the Denver Foundation, the Stapleton Foundation and local businesses. 2040 Partners for Health is the only non-profit organization in Colorado solely focused on CBPR.
