Stapleton

Taking Neighborhood Health to Heart is a community-university project involving the University of Colorado Denver, the Stapleton Foundation, 2040 Partners for Health, and residents living in East Montclair, Northwest Aurora, Stapleton, Park Hill, and Northeast Park Hill. The goal of this project is to learn about and improve the health and well being of people living in partner neighborhoods. As part of this project, a total of 950 adults from the five neighborhoods took a 2007-2008 health survey; 214 were surveyed from Stapleton. Following is an example of some of the information gathered as a result of the survey.

This project was done in accordance with Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) principles.  Click here to learn more about CBPR.
