About Us

Who We Are...

2040 Partners for Health is a learning community facilitating, informing, and assessing community-based research projects, health-related programs, and relevant policies through a partnership with Northeast Denver Metro Area communities (East Montclair, Park Hill, Northeast Park Hill, Northwest Aurora, and Stapleton), the University of Colorado Anshutz Medical Campus, and the Stapleton Foundation, to advance the health and healthcare of area residents and employees.

Who We Serve…

2040 Partners for Health serves the health infrastructure of the five neighborhood region.  This includes community groups and individuals, healthcare providers and workers, nonprofit organizations impacting health, academic institutions and universities, funders of health programs, area employers, government agencies, and elected officials.  We proudly serve these organizations and individuals as partners for a healthier community.

Why CBPR?

Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) occurs when academic researchers and community collaborate in partnership throughout the research process.  It is "the systematic enquiry; with the collaboration of those affected by the issue being studied; for the purpose of education and taking action or effecting social change."  (Definition used by the Centers of Disease Control, and Green, Lawrence W. et al)

CBPR offers a way for community members to get involved and lead actions to improve upon local health issues.  Members of the 2040 team regularly meet with residents, businesses and community groups to discuss local health needs.  And because 2040 is a nonprofit charitable organization, it can apply for grants to help expand this important work.  For more information about how you can become involved, please contact us at:
